Concert for Missions (05/28/06)

You will not want to miss this! Join us June 3rd at 2:30 PM as several members of our church share their musical gifts in an event to be enjoyed and remembered. An offering will be taken at the concert, with all proceeds going towards expenses for the trip to Belize in July. The concert will be held at the home of Michael & Michelle Kay. All are welcome, but seating is limited, so please RSVP by signing up at church today or contact Rick and Janny Ligtenberg.

Belize Fundraiser - Garage Sale (05/28/06)

The Kay Family is hosting a garage sale at their home the morning of June 3rd, Saturday, with the purpose of raising funds for the Belize Missions trip this summer. They will not meet any assistance for the sale on Saturday morning, which is the same day as the concert that begins at 2:30 PM. Please provide the Kay's with any good condition items to be donated by Friday, June 2nd. Should anyone need assistance with transportation of donated items, please contact Michael Kay and he will arrange for pick-up.

Scrapbooking Night: June 2nd, 6:00 PM. Bring your pictures, papers etc. We have tools and ideas to share. Light dinner will be provided. Please bring a light snack to share after dinner. The car wash held last Sunday to raise funds for the Belize trip was a great success, Praise God! Many thanks to those who participated to support this mission.

The memorial service for Bette Sammons will be on Sunday, May 21st at 2:00 PM at the Rancho Monserate Clubhouse located at 4650 Dulin Road. After the service light refreshments will be served.

Hoodwinked & Bowling Night (05/14/06)

On Friday May 26th at 7:00 PM the youth group going to get together to have some fun! First we are going to rent a recent movie about Goldilocks called "Hoodwinked" (rated PG) and then we are going to go play two games of exciting "Extreme Bowling", shoes, and a soda for $14 per person. Please eat dinner before you come, and please RSVP by e-mail or call Bryan Miller.

On Saturday, May 13th the Belize team will be having a car wash fundraiser at the Americo Gas station at 1285 S. Mission Rd. (on the corner of South Mission Rd. and Clemens Lane.) We are looking for volunteers willing to help with this event. If you are interested there is a sign-up sheet at the back table, or see Elias Armenta.

In April we began a new Sunday School study based on John Owen's "The Glory of Christ". You are not required to read the book to participate. But it is a great book that is easy to read. If you are interested in owning a copy please see Pastor Ken Han.

The 2006 International Women In the Church Conference will be held in Atlanta September 15-17, 2006. This conference is a call to a rich intergenerational experience for women ages 13 and older. They will gather to worship and to be equipped to be women who know their theology, women who love His church, and women who are kingdom disciplers, obediently declaring His faithfulness generation to generation.
