"Getting Ready" Program To Return (10/16/05)
The "Getting Ready" class will return next Sunday morning. We offer this class during the sermon for any children whose parents feel that they would benefit from it. This program is designed to prepare our children to join in all aspects of the service. Children remain with their parents for worship, then go to Building C for a time of learning about the various elements of the worship service, including singing and an age-appropriate teaching on the same passage as the main service. If you would like to help with this ministry once a month or so, please see Pastor Iain Duguid.

Weekly Communion (10/16/05)
The Session has decided to switch to celebrating the Lord's Supper weekly, so that we can benefit from the more frequent observance of this means of grace. We will also be experimenting with a variety of different ways of celebrating the Lord's Supper, in order to bring out the various different aspects of this sacred meal. Today we will invite those who are partaking to come forward and recieve the elements in small groups at the front of the church. If you have children who are not yet communicant members, you are welcome to bring them forward with you to observe. If you do not wish to partake, or are not able to partake, please simply remain in your seat and use the time for personal prayer and meditation on the significance of Jesus' death and resurrection.
If we would worthily commune with the Lord in the Supper, we must with firm heart-felt reliance regard the Lord Jesus as our only righteousness, life, and salvation, receiving and accepting the promises which are given to us by Him as sure and certain, and renouncing all other confidence, so that distrusting ourselves and all creatures, we may rest fully in Him, and be content with His grace alone (John Calvin)
